Last Training Run with my Seattle Marathon Group

A sad day, but a nice one. We met at the park and ran six or so (okay, less…but I got a bit more in running back for people) miles to Starbucks. Sat and enjoyed conversation, coffee, and a snack for our last run. After, I met Trista and Nicole at the Brooks Outlet and we did some shopping for Winter running gear. Nicole took off and Trista and I went to lunch at Panera than off to REI. We were hoping Megan and Sarah would catch up with us, but alas we didn’t find them.

Wiley ran with us on our run today and was relatively well behaved. I hope no one minded, but with only six miles I knew he’d be SO happy to go out and he really needs that outlet since he’s an inside dog. That boy has a LOT of energy!

After REI I headed home, but Roy had a lot left to do around the house so I made a beeline to get a pedicure and manicure. They always do a great job on my feet and cut my big toenails so that there is no pressure on the sides, so I consider it a necessity. Plus I have four marathons coming up in the next four weeks and I MUST have race nails!

So no marathon/half training runs for awhile, but on January 23 hopefully all of us (or at least MOST of us) will reconvene to train for the Seattle Rock and Roll in June!
