Super Jock and Jill Half Marathon
Super Jock and Jill Half marathon! Megan and I ran together and Megan made a PR by SEVEN minutes! How awesome is that? The run went great. My calf bothered me on and off, but nothing major. We had some great conversation. It was a LOT of fun. This is a MAJORLY hilly race… I mean crazy hilly.
We had some amazing miles…many sub 10 minute miles, an awesome 9:14. Our fastest was mile 13. I really think that Megan will be leaving me in her dust soon. Her times are improving dramatically!
She wasn’t the only one who rocked, though. Trista also had a PR! In fact after we got some food we headed over to cheer her in and she’d already finished! Seriously a STRONG walker! She is working on walk/run, so she did some running. But she has an amazing walking pace.
Shelley did the 4 miler even though she wasn’t feeling well, paid for it the rest of the day, but was glad she did. Amy started with us and also did the 4miler, but I haven’t heard how she did. It was fun to see (and hear Beth) and Jessica! WooT! You ladies rock! Jessica, of course, came in WAY before I did, even after running a full marathon (well, doing run/swim intervals, from what I understand) the day before. Saw Monte on the route as well. He came in right after us, and had also done the Michelle’s marathon the day before.
Great race everyone! Next weekend: Skagit Flats Marathon!
