Run - 1.1 hours - 09/06/2009

I woke up this morning SO sore that I didn’t have any desire whatsoever to run. I have a half marathon tomorrow so I told myself, “Just take a rest day.” I’ve been moving my classroom so I am justifiably tired. I took a few IBU (back pain treMENdous this morning) and had breakfast. Roy took off to get his stuff and suddenly I wanted to run. I got up and Wiley looked at me and said “You know you haven’t run with me much at all lately. I am very sad.” so I asked him if he wanted to go and he said, “Yes, please.” (Actually he leapt in the air and did his little hula dance he does and yipped and rooed.) So Wiles and I went out on a rainy adventure. It was wonderful. No pain. My back feels a million times better. My own pace. We heard birds, ran around the loop, across the water, and even considered running into Everett. (I called Roy and he reminded me that if I did, we couldn’t go to lunch and leave Wliey.) So I ran home. At one point we were running under these trees that had seed pods falling off of them and twirling to the ground! It was so cool! We also saw (and sent a photo to FB) leaves that have fallen off trees and turned colors!

Folks, it is FALL!
