Round and round and round we go…track run for Wellness Wednesday

Nothing like going nowhere fast! Met Dana for Wellness Wednesday. Warmed up with a walking lap, then a nice slow jog. Had a massage today that left my lower leg aching, but it loosened up as I ran, thank heavens! Joined Dana after I warmed up and we talked and ran and ran and talked and talked some more and ran some more, then cooled down with a half mile walk. Running splits were an average of 10:20 minute miles.

Hmm, 201 max heart rate? I wonder if my HRM is messed up when I first start because I think 201 and I might die, but I’ll leave it to keep track. I know it didn’t catch a signal for the first five minutes until I started to sweat a little, so it might just get confused when I “start” with a higher HR. Who knows? I noticed within a few seconds (it was high at first so I watched it) it was normal.
