Run with Me This Week

Happy Tuesday! Only four weeks left until school starts for some of us. While I miss my kids, man I'm not ready for summer to be over yet!

Wednesday night is Wellness Wednesday! I'll be out at the track at MPHS from 6:00-?? If people keep showing and I'm still alive, I'll run/walk with you. This is a great time to get questions answered or to work one on one with me on a specific issue.

The track is at 5611 108th Street in Marysville. Directions can be found here:

Let me know if you're coming and I'll be sure to be out there for you!

Bootcamp is in full swing, but if you want to join us it's not too late! The classes are at 5:30 in the morning. Mondays are at Jennings Park, in Marysville. Wednesdays are at Legion Park. We're a small, but fun group of people who are working our booties off in bootcamp! This is not like any other bootcamp you've joined. It's specifically for working on the muscles we use and abuse while running, including the core, glutes, hams, quads, and calves.

I have had interest in an evening bootcamp, and if there is enough interest, I'm considering Monday and Wednesdays around 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the MPHS track if they keep it open for us. That would allow us a nice surface to run on, make it easy for all fitness levels to join, and give us covered area to do the core work (and stairs to run!!!). So let me know if that sounds like something you'd like to do!

Saturday:
5k class at 8 a.m. We'll be doing our intervals and should be at about the same distance as last week, but with a bit more running and less walking!
10k/Half marathon: 4.5 miles! We'll be heading out to Starbucks, which makes an excellent turn around spot. No stopping for coffee!
Marathon: 8 miles this week with 14 for the Portlanders. Next week we get to drop back to 6 miles, so you get a break next week! We're going to be heading to the Casino, but no gambling! Just a fun place to run.

Fall classes:

I need to start scheduling these, but here are the options I'm considering:

Fall Trail Running: Probably Sunday afternoons starting about noon, over four Sundays.
5k aimed at the Jingle Bell Run: Starting in October, probably Tuesday nights (Thursday tends to be the night my "real" job schedules open houses and things like that)
Monday/Wednesday Runners Bootcamp: I can start this whenever I get enough interest. I'd like five people! The course runs four weeks, but we can keep going and going and going...
