Treadmill Stress Test

Stress test on the treadmill! Does that count as a workout? My HR got up to 173 and I did not explode! Went to the ER with chest pains and a strange blood test result landed me in testing hell all day long. The good news is, I don’t have to ask the Wizard for a heart. The bad news is, I have no idea why I had such horrible pain and I lost a day of summer. But good news is, I got out before dinner arrived. The stress test starts at a walk, and every 3 minutes inclines up and speeds up. I did the Athletic Profile Bruce Test. When the guy stopped it (I wasn’t dying or anything, he just told me “one more minute”) he said that he’d only seen two people do 18 minutes and had heard of only one person do 21. He said “It’s a good thing I didn’t tell you that before, isn’t it?” “Yeah! Or I would have wanted to go to 22!” Upshot was, no heart problems at all. He thinks the first test was a false positive. They really really took good care of me, though. They wouldn’t even let me walk to the restroom! I think I still have heart monitor thingies attached to me.
